Spa Music, Products, and Supplies
The ability to relax in this fast paced world has been lost by many. Stress begins to consume every waking moment and then invades dreams that cause fitful nights. This compounds on itself until an avalanche of overwhelming feelings erupt into scenes that get people kicked out of bars, their house, or even their family.
Fortunately there is an amazing, time tested and proven, method of remaining calm and it doesn’t involve counting to ten. It is the combination of comfortably hot water in a soothing environment, commonly known as a spa. Drunken hot-tubbing with friends can be relaxing, but visiting a spa is a meditative, almost religious experience that can involve much more than just a warm soak and a cool drink. There are mud baths, hot rocks, a variety of massages, steam rooms, cold soaks, and pleasantly soothing spa music.
The atmosphere is what a makes a spa comfortable, soothing, and relaxing. A pleasant atmosphere can be achieved in a variety of different ways. Many areas have the luxury of having naturally occurring hot mineral springs nearby which offer a soothing relief from the cube shaped constraints of modern living and working spaces. The curative properties of these natural spas have been promoted for thousands of years, especially in Japan and Europe, where the term “spa” was coined from the ancient Roman Aquae Spadanae, which is located in modern Spa, Belgium.
Many people believe in the curative properties of bathing in certain bodies of water. They can be healed physically, mentally, or spiritually depending on the person’s beliefs and range from pristine hot springs to polluted rivers.
Today’s spa treatments include a variety of procedures and methods from performing massages, facials, hair waxing, manicures and pedicures, to more involving tasks such as yoga, personal training and meditation, all set to the pleasant sounds of spa music. Bathing is only one part of the spa experience which can include multiple baths with different temperatures and fluids such as mud or mineral water, aromatherapy, skin exfoliation, sauna and steam rooms. Some even offer more intensive operations, such as laser hair removal and botox treatments, though most spas are entirely non-medical, focusing more on the mental aspects of relaxation.
Spa music is an integral part of the experience and can quickly set the mood. If the room is private any music can be listened to though a cinematic track of mellow melodies and soothing sounds such as waves breaking, birds chirping, or the creaking sound of a forest can provide a positively alluring and relaxing experience. Most spas will cater to the needs and wants of their customers, so don’t be afraid to bring some of your favorite songs, mixes, or playlists and any other accessories that make the experience more enjoyable and soothing.
